BA = Bachelor of Arts

BSc = Bachelor of Science

The BA degree usually requires fewer courses, especially in general science courses. The BSc requires more math and science courses (and by science, I mean more than just Computer Science courses). Usually, this means that the BSc is a degree that has a little more “meat” behind it – graduate schools and employers do know the difference, and they respect it.
