Sociology is the STUDY of society, social problems, social systems, social phenomenon, social processes, basically it is the attempt to understand current social events (which is how it differers from anthropology). Sociology can be more applied at the graduate level).

Psychology is the STUDY of individual intrapsychic phenomenon, the study of interpersonal dynamics, intrapersonal development, basically anything mental, cognitive, developmental, and behavioral within the individual (psychology does not become applied until the graduate level). Psychology can also look at family and group though this is usually not a primary concern.

Social work is the STUDY and Practice with individual, family, group, community and organizational phenomenons, dynamics, problems and the interaction between the system. It is about not just helping individuals navigate systems, but also changing the systems to better serve people (some of the answers about social work reflect a lack of knowledge of the profession).

Sociology is a study of social groups, their interactions, and power within a particular society.

Physiology is the study of the biological process of life within an organism, typically a human or animals.

Social Work deals more with documentation of and assistance to those poeple needing help within a society… often the poor, those with drug problems, etc.

Psychology deals with the study of the cognitive and biological processes that produce behavior and affect in human beings.

So… ignoring physiology…

The differences are that sociology deals primarily with groups and interactions. Social work deals with legal and personal assistance to those needing it within a society.

Psychology… that’s what you make it. It can be anything from counseling (counseling psychology) to researching particular metabolic pathways in the brains of near-human primates (biopsychology). It can deal with social issues (social psychology) relative to individuals or the development of behavior over many generations (evolutionary psychology).

Now, just to throw another wrench into the machine, another area to consider if you are considering these areas is anthropology…

Sociology: the study of human societies

Social Work: examines how people fit into those societies, and some of the problems they have

Psychology: the study of the individual human mind and behavior.

well catholicism is the oldest christian church and base on the Bible and the apostolic tradition, the protestant groups use the term non-denominational church but they still protestant and some of them take doctrines from the baptist or pentecostals, for example I learned the baptists are very conservative as pentecostals but pentecostals believe in the speaking in tongues and baptists disagree and they believe once is saved and forever, Lutherans are salvation by faith alone as baptist and lutherans but lutherans follow cathecism was written by Luther, the Lutheranism contains some aspect of roman catholicism and methodists are closer to lutherans, the presbyterians are followers of the calvinism, who says some go to heaven because they were born to heaven and others go to hell cause they are going to hell because God chose them since the world was created, the pentecostals could divide in trinitarians and oneness so some of them reject the trinity and others no
