An MBA is master of business administration.

An MBE is master of business education.

This is designed for those who wish to teach business in high school or college.

Management and business administration

are almost different labels for the same thing.

Management in any organization is similar in business, government or non-profit.

A person studying public administration

studies many of the same courses as the business administration major. The public administator is usually employed by government or university teaching.

Business adminsitration majors go into the manager trainee tract or intern tract in whatever organization they go into. They experience many functions of the company and become managers rather quickly. Companies pay well for this degreed person and do not want to lose them to boredom and have them quit to work somewhere else. It is similar with

a management degree. Many future CEO,s company treasurers, and organizational VP’s come from the ranks of the MBA

Schools. They are given accountibility and authority early on, with paychecks to match. Thier responsibilities increase

at each level of training they complete.

Once in awhile, a promising young executive can carry off moving into the CEO office with much supervision from the board. The controller can keep a tight rein on impulsive decisions by

forcing close adherence to the budget.

A strong board can veto company aquisitions or sales until the executive is not quite so green. If there is a hostile takeover threat, the board and

executives try to head it off. You can see that nothing like this happens in government service. However, there are coups within administrative branches of government every day. A fromer high level

executive may have his office moved to an ante room and be totally bypassed by the bureaucracy. I hope this helps.
