What do you wear to an academic convocation?
Never been to one before and am heading out in two hours… help!

Nice clothing. No jeans, no tank tops. Ironed shirt, nice slacks, sundress for girls. Look presentable.

I’m assuming that this is a holy, rather than an academic convocation. Wear your best conservative outfit, something that you would wear to church, a funeral or applying for a managerial job. Just ask your brother.

Something nice, but not too too nice. As a girl you have it easy, a sun dress (if it’s warm) or another type of nice outfit is great. Don’t over dress, but don’t under dress either. So jeans and a tank top is out, but looking like you’re in a wedding party is also out.
As a guy it’s hard to explain but I hope you figure it out. Speaking of guys…a button up shirt, or a polo and a pair of khakis is just fine. Again, jeans and a tank top are out.
