What classes should I take before I transfer to a university?

I want to take some core classes at a community college, but I don’t know what I’m going to major in. Any suggestions?

English 1 + 2, History, Algebra 1 + 2, Calculus, Trigonometry, Art History or Apprecation.

These are only a suggestion, but if you get them out of the way, you will have more time to devote to your other studies. You will have to take these in most US colleges and universities, with the exception of the higher maths. IF you are not majoring in a field requireing high math, you will at least have to take College Algebra.

If these are available I strongly suggest them:

Typing

Computer Science

Communications

Any foreign language

Civics

History US, World

Earth Science

Biology

College is like a mental candy store, you can find nearly anything you want, providing you go to the right source.

You definitely want to know how to use a computer, not only to write papers but to do research, communicate and KEEP YOURSELF ORGANIZED.

Your best bet though, is to contact the school where you intend to take further course work and ask them what they recommend and which credits they accept. Also ask them what school’s their credits are accepted at so you may carry them with you later. The potential to loose money and time happens grows exponentially if you don’t get their clearance before beginning undergraduate classes. Each school you attend is allowed to accept or deny any class credits from any other school, it’s up to their discretion.

I hope this helps.

just stick with ur general eductation classes..pick up a course catalog and check in there…they should have a list of classes that are required for graduation and classes that are required to transfer..u dont need to know ur major just yet..u still have time…

It tremendously is dependent upon your univ. Usually if its no longer a demand for commencement/GE, then you definately must be great.. However, i had a pal who carried out and accredited to UCI however used to be revoked admission whilst he got a D from one of the most categories…
