Even though that Iam a good sonographer

No one seem wants to hire me because

of the ARDMS registry requirement to work in the field for one year to qualify.

Please tell me if there any thing I can do to

help my self?

I’m out of money and out of job.

Thanks. I realy appreciate your respond.

Your basically stuck with a worthless degree/certificate. My brother recently asked me the same question regarding an online GED program he wanted to enroll in. I told him to hold off writing any checks while I checked it out for him and found that there are many corporations which offer accreditation for a fee without examining a program thoroughly. Those are pretty much worthless even though they have names that sound legit. If you search for accreditation requirements for your area, you can usually find links to lists of accepted accrediting agencies that schools and the government go by-they do not accept accreditation from anywhere else. Right now all I can say is contact the Better Business Bureau and stay away from programs which seem to good to be true.

I don’t know how it works in your field, but at least in mine you may not *totally* be screwed if that happens. Can you get in touch with whatever agency that handles registry and see if they will evaluate your coursework/experience on a case-by-case basis? I know mine will, particularly if it’s a case of “the program hasn’t yet graduated enough students to even be eligible for accreditation”. That may not solve your problem, but it’s at least an avenue I’d explore.
