what are the pros and cons of attending college in spring 2008?
i’m going to be going to college in spring 2008 and was wondering what is good and bad..is it harder to make friends?? is there still an orientation??

On my campus, students are coming and going each semester. I began in the Spring session and it was not a big deal. I still had the same orientation. As for making friends, I live off campus. The friends I have developed have been through meeting people in my classes so I have not noticed a difference. Best of luck!

Campus is geared to have students start in the fall, so starting at any other time will put you at any number of disadvantages. However, if you have a plan you will do well. You will need to find out what they talk about in orientation, you will need to map the campus, you will need ways to make friends quickly (getting involved in clubs is a sure fire way to do this), and you will need to know the library. These are the things that orientation tries to help you with.

All of that depends on the individual school. Some schools have alot of spring starts/transfers, and therefore a sizeable orientation. Some don’t bother with orientation at all.

Dont worry too much about making friends. its not like the only friends you can make will be at the orientation and 1st semester. Its college time to study..:) whatever time you feel you should start then start. the important thing is your going to school. Dont worry college campuses are ful of ppl from dorms to librarys to your classes—probably where youll meet the most kids —i wouldnt worry about it…joining activities will help you make more friends to..

the only drawback of attending a school that i will see is the cost. till you’re rich faculties will very own your soul for years. yet there are sufficient extra reward to going to college than no longer–in case you will get in. the three greatest reward are: one million)Getting an training and gaining expertise for its very own sake, understanding issues, being able to communicate to human beings. 2)extra suitable threat of having a solid, extreme paying activity. 3)extra suitable threat of an more desirable accepted of living

i would find a job and save up. i’m a senior and thats the #1 thing college kids could always use is more money.
