I think you may like the private school, but you need to some research. I went to private school for several years, and found that some teachers at private school are to busy to teach. Many private schools have demerits (paper slips you receive when you do something wrong, a certain amount means detention) Students would receive demerits for all sorts of things like dress code, or holding a pencil while the teacher was talking (so much for taking notes) The teachers at my school were so busy filling these out, that our class fell behind in the lesson. The school had a good reputation, so this was very surprising.Also, it really helps if you come from an affluent family, and are athletic in order to fit in–sports teams are really popular. Many of the girls will carry designer handbags, drive nice cars, and go on annual ski trips/ trips to Europe etc. School admins always say their school is wonderful, so they are not the best people to ask. If you can, ask some students how they like the school.
