1. Answer only the questions you are sure about.
2. Answer the questions you are pretty sure about.
3. Any question you have no idea about answer B. Do not change to different letters for idea questions because answering them all B will give you a 25% chance of getting those questions right.
Make sure your application is neat and correctly spelled. Send it in early before the rush.
Enjoy college, it can be the best time of your life no matter where you go to school.
I, for instance, am a high school dropout with only a GED and an 1100 SAT score (the old system mind you). However I am an undergrad of Rutgers University, a graduate at Princeton, and have just started UPENNs doctoral program in archeology. With that in mind, understand that I am also a disabled veteran of the current Iraq war and wrote two books, the first geo-political, the second historical & geo-political, before I re-entered acadamia.
At each school, it was not only my resume which paved my way, but the all important essay which sealed my acceptance. That essay is the lifeblood of the applicant. I would suggest you use this half of the school year to greatly improve your prose and the articulation of thought. Read as much literature as you can get your hands on. Especially focus on Chaucer and Shakespere. Also bring a sense of classical wisdom to the essay by getting familair with Plato’s Republic and the writings of the Stoics (penguin classics publishing). These universities see extraordinary kids all the time, it is the wisdom not the knowledge, that will put you our the top. Over course there are no certainties, but improve your writing and expand you base of knowledge and you will make up for your lack of real world expirience (not to belittle your community service) and GPA.
But I wish you good luck lol! Reminds me when you’ve make it.
