I used to work part time while going to college…and i used to be tired alot…I learned one thing…

if ur tired, dont resort to watching TV…if ur not studying..SLEEP.

Sleep when you can so you can focus in your studying.

Carry 3×5 cards in your pocket, and when the work gets slow, go through them. Put everything you’re trying to remember onto them. Small pocket notepads also work. You can set these on a counter or desk, and they’re inconspicuous enough that jerk managers won’t freak out about them and customers won’t notice.

Keep some blank notecards to use to write down ideas for essays, or to do practice problems on.

You can copy homework problems onto them, carry some blanks for doing answers, and no one will know you’re doing homework.

If you get breaks, keep a book or notebook in the car.

You’re not going to get a lot of studying done during a job, most likely. Any large university usually allows part-time enrollment for students who work at least 20 hrs. per week. You need to chase down the appropriate counselors to do this. They’re the ones in the big administration building, not your major department.

Choice of job is a big deal too. Working a counter gives slow time to read.

Don’t try to do your math homework while delivering pizzas.

don’t cram.

pick three ideas per session to learn.

studies have shown that if up try to remember 10 numbers, letters, whatever in 10 seconds u will remember the first middle and last and forget the rest.

so, study only three ideas, take a break, then three more, etc.

actually this is just advice in general but……be sure to

prioritize……make sure that school comes first….if your job starts to interfere with your college work…then scale back on your job but if your part-time job is important then be careful in the calsses that your select per term/semester so your workload doesn’t overwhelm you
