Psychology is as varied as engineering. It looks like you want to do therapy. That’s different that industrial or research or cognitive psych. Your best best would be to identify where you want to go to graduate school and ask where their best students come from. By the way, US schools often prefer NOT to have their own graduates in graduate programs so don’t automatically assume you should go undergrad to the place you want to get your PHD.

Funny thing about Psychology that applies to it and almost no other area of study: When applying to graduate school, they want your undergraduate degree to be from a “research based institution.” This is basically a University that offers a PhD in psychology. So, even if you plan to get your degrees from different colleges, you should make sure that they all offer a PhD program.

I second Sarah C. There’s really not much you can do with a BA/BS (or Master’s, for that matter) in Psych, so concentrate on what gets you into a good PhD program.

You actually may want to consider majoring in social work and minoring in psychology if you want to keep your options open. With a BSW you can apply for advanced standing for an MSW. DA
