What are my chances at getting in University of Maryland-College Park?

I posted this question before but got fewer than 5 responses. Here are my stats, i have about a 3.50 G.P.A currently. I have tooken all honor classes from 10th grade on. I have about 6 math credits. My SAT scores are pretty low, i have a 1300 out of 2400. I am taking 3 A.P. classes currently, A.P Calculus, A.P. biology, A.P. lit/english and taking A.P. psychology on the side because i couldn’t fit it into my schedule. I am most likely ranked top 10% of my class. I currently have over 150 community service hours. By the end of the year i should have about 400-500 hours. My extracircular activites include Interact Club(Vice President), NHS(National Honor Society), Chemathon(chemistry competiton at University of Maryland . I am in the Science Fair club which is a way to help us complete the science fair project. I am volunteering at a hospital(community service hours), volunteer at school library and public. I plan on having many recomendations and a great essay. Please tell me the trut

As a UMD grad, I can tell you that your chances are very high.

However… If you have trouble, just go to PGCC (or any of the other CC’s in MD) first. Then, transfer in after you finish your 2 year degree. Acceptance at that point is easier (because they have a whole lot of Freshman / Sophomore drop outs that need to be replaced. (Going to one of the CC’s first is a lot cheaper, too. And you won’t miss anything from an education standpoint)

Get a lot of people to review your essay.

BTW: It’s not too late to take your SAT’s again. (your score there appears to be your weak point)

Definitely try to up your SAT score.

But else wise your other stats are great!
