I would highly recommend a Community College. All you have to do is to contact the college you want to attend and they will give you all of the information you need. The classes are small and the instructors are able to give more attention than a four year college. You take the basic classes, the college will tell you what classes you need, they help with financial aid, and will get you signed up in an instant. I am dyslexic and the community college was best for me because they introduced me to studying skills, helped with my learning problems, and just gave me more than any four year college could. I earned my associates degree because of the type of teaching from C.C. Sad as it is, I was only able to finish one semester of the four year college because of my learning problems. The four year college did as much as they could to help but it was more than my mind could absorb. I am thankful for C.C. and every thing they did for me. God be with you.

Gen eds are the same in community colleges as they are at any public university, the difference is smaller classes and more individual attention. If you get your associate’s all of them will transfer.
