University of Tennessee (Knoxville) or Auburn University?
Which of these would have stronger programs in engineering and business and architecture?
Favorite Answer
I enjoyed my time at UT. From what I have seen from Alumni news, they have a strong business school.
I know the school spirit is really HIGH! There are tons of Tennessee Traditions…. Go Vols!
The campus is nice. There are historic areas and newer construction side by side.
Take a campus tour and see for yourself. Make sure you do your research concerning departments and stuff.
All in all, your college experience is what you make of it. You have the tools in your hand to succeed and create your own community.
Good luck!
I used to live near UT and I like that school as well. UT is more of a city school because its in Knoxville, whereas Auburn has a small town feel. There are 23,000 students in Auburn in a town of about 40,000 residents so the school basically makes up the town. So take that into consideration when choosing where to go. I’d definitely suggest you take campus tours of each school.
As far as the programs you asked about, I know Auburn is ranked as one of the best programs in the country for business, engineering and architecture. The Engineering school is ranked as one of the best in the country I believe. Overall Auburn is considered one of the best public Universities in the country.
Make sure to research each school before you make a final decision. The Princeton Review website is a good place to go to compare statistics on schools. I can’t imagine myself going to another school other than Auburn, but you might not feel its the best place for you. Research the programs you are interested in at each school and definitely go visit!
I hope this helps and War Eagle!
