Columbia University (yes, the Ivy League one) is my dream college. I’m going to be a sophmore in high school, and I need some tips to increase my chances of getting in. Here are my basic info: I play the violin and played in many honor ensembles. I volunteer at my church a lot. I also volunteer at a hospital in the pediatric unit. I’m in Aid for Africa Club. I’m working on my GPA… hopefully… it’ll soon be above 4.0. I’m taking three honors classes next year. What more should I do to increase my chances of getting in? When should I start preparing for SAT? (I’m trying to get in the range of about 1980-2220) and HOW should I prepare for the SAT? I took the practice SAT before.. and I did really bad. -o- And I’m planning to take the Japanese(I’m Korean) and US history SAT II.

Please… someone with experience… give me advices. thank you.
