Should I go to community college?

I’m currently a sophmore in high school and I was wondering if I should go to community college. I’m not sure on subjects such as college.

Oh, and I want to be a physical therapist when I get a little older.

Yes, community college is a great idea. The tuition is far more affordable than a 4 year. If you decide to get into physical therapy then you can take your general ed classes and then transfer to a good PT school.

You should go to community college if you think your prepared for it, it’s a full time commitment especially if your really focused on high school, but from expierence since I went to community college when I was a freshman in high school I kind of stopped careing about my high school classes since I found out that a high school diploma can only take you so far especially if you can get your AA degree or AS degree by the end of your sophmore year, and I did that so getting my high school diploma became obsolete, what was funny is that I was doing great in my college courses but really lagging in my high school classes, but in retrospect college courses give you a better foundation of understanding alot of material, by the time I finished high school I already had my BS in kinesiology (study of movement), by the way I should tell you that I am a physical therapist, but anyways my point is I never got my high school diploma and while my friends were starting they’re first year of college I was working at a medical facility gaining expierence, and I was takeing classes part time to get my masters and I was only 19 years old, so I say to you if you can do without high school, then do it, I was never a social outcast or anything, I am the life of the party so if any one tells you that if you dont finish high school or your senior year is so important is a bunch of crap cause I sacrificed my high school years for getting a degree instead of a diploma, got a really good paying job at 19, got my masters at 22 because I was a part time student, then at 25 I got my Doctorate, I’m 27 now and I’m living the life, I travel the world and I dont worry about money, I work over seas half the year, and the other half I come home work for 3 months and take 3 months off, so I leave it in your hands to decide, good luck my friend…

Plan on some kind of higher education for sure. Many Community (or Junior) Colleges have courses that transfer toward getting a BS or BA later at a fully accredited college or university. Your mind set may change several times in the next two years, but DO plan on going somewhere. The future for someone not getting some sort of a degree right now is akin to people who quit High School in the last century.

Why not try enrolling at Islamic School? So you will know why community college is tolerant of all religions. Though the word Catholic means Universal as taken from the Greek word Katolos, it does not really practice what the title stands for. They are definitely a single dogmatic religious organization formed to discredit even other religions that believe in their common Christ. Like Hamburger Chains, Mcdonald will never sell King Burgers product nor Carl’s Junior even if they are the same beef or turkey. You are in college now so you must think like a college student.

I go to a community college and it offers physical therapy degrees. It’s a lot cheaper and more flexible than going to a major college. This is a decision you will have to make; a community college and a university are two very different things. I recommend you look up some community colleges and universities that you are considering and that offer physical therapy degrees and figure out what would be best for you.

Going to a community college first is a great way to save money and get your credits so that you can transfer and not waste time. If you have a specific university that you would like to go to, then talk to them and see which courses you should take while you’re in community college that will allow you to transfer credits. I would recommend taking most of your General Education courses at a community college so that you won’t have to take them at the university of your choice. Just make sure that the classes you take at a community college will transfer over to the university that you plan on attending so that you can get credit for those classes.

YES! Community college is so much cheaper than a regular four year school. The classes are a lot better than a four year school, and the teachers actually CARE!

You can go and get a two-year degree for a fraction of the cost and then transfer to a four year school for the next two years and save a lot of money!

you can do two years at a community college and then transfer to a university, or if you passed your S.A.T.’s and got pretty good scores on exams and A.P. classes, then you can start at a four year university right after high school. But I really think you should ask your councelor for help. You can also take an A.S.V.A.P. which helps you on showing you at what you excel at and some career choices that follow that path of your talents and skills and prefences.
