There really is no point in going to an orientation for community college.
You may meet other students that you have never seen in your community before. Even though this is community college you can still connect with others and this will help both socially and in your class work.
You may find yourself in need of trucking it from one end of the campus to the other. Spend the time to get to know the campus and you will not spend the time and anxiety of trying to find that $%^#ing class room.
Usually all important student resources are pointed out during Orientation. There may be resources you did not know existed.
And last of all–going to Orientation is a good start to taking your college studies seriously. You’re paying some pretty good dough to go–squeeze all you can out of it.
If you don’t have the patience to sit through four hours, then you’re going to face real problems in college. Consider it practice.
They could talk about things like honor code, campus safety and rules, study groups, student organizations, degree requirements, etc.
