Though English may be spoken in more countries than any other language, it is not the most widely spoken language in the world. In fact, more people speak Mandarin than speak English. But that’s beside the point.

In what country do you live? The most likely reason you are being taught English is because, since it is spoken in all continents, it is one of the most benefitial languages to learn. I assume your school is trying to equip you with tools they think will be the most successful in helping you have a life you will be happy with, and if you speak English, you have a greater number of possibilities open to you.

English should be spoken in classrooms and all work places. If foreign students and employees want to live and work in the US they should learn and speak english. When the first imigrants came to this country, they were proud to learn to speak english. If Immigrants now wish to continue speaking their own language, it should be done in there own homes and not in public. It is very annoying to go into a place of business and hear foreign languages being spoken by the employees.

There are classrooms that should allow foreign languages, these are for teaching us if we wish to learn them.

Dave, cite the legislation that mainly limit the construction of an reliable language. I believe now we have or have had extra legislation, regulations, laws and requisites for individuals to be trained and fully grasp our language (English) for a myriad of motives, to receive a drivers license, to vote, even to come to be a citizen. Now we’re heading in the direction of Balkanization of the nation and feature forgone solidarity. We have excepted such a lot of phrases from different languages into our language that our OFFICIAL LANGUAGE could be American or American ENGLISH, exceptional from the Oxford English of the UK and very similar to the Canadian English. How can liberals say that there is not any reliable language within the United States? Simple, they simply open their mouths and the sh!t comes out… in undeniable English.

Unless it is a foreign language class………I don’t think “this” language should be spoken frequently. I attend University of Louisiana at Lafayette, born and rasied in baton rouge and I surely don’t think that this situation is a big deal here. On the other hand, for a city/state that is a little more diverse than we are then that should very well be taken into consideration.
