PA, or RN-which degree program is more difficult?
Ok, so me and my cousin are having a debate about which one of us has a more demanding/ difficult curriculm program. She is in the PA program and I am in the RN program…which one would you say is more difficult?

Well after you graduate and if you go on to be nurse practitioner- you will definitely be more in demand, make more money, and be able to have your own practice.

Some on here are mis-informed. Both programs at the RN level provide the same basic RN skills & education, otherwise the associate’s RN would not be able to pass the NCLEX exam. The bachelor’s RN takes more gen ed classes (to qualify for the bachelors) as well as a few more nursing theory/management type classes. Both make excellent floor nurses and I feel comfortable with both–its more the person than the training–how that person learns & retains. As long as the school has a good passing rate on the NCLEX, you will get a good education. The pay difference at the floor level is negligible. Higher levels of management is where the BSRN becomes important, or if a masters is desired.

I think a PA program would be more difficult.
