Oregon Universities?
How are the Oregon universities in teaching? I would like to get a degree in early childhood and I am wondering if the universities in Oregon are not prestigious enough. Are they good? Also, do they have rigorous programs, or are they doable with minimal stress?

Honestly, if what you want to do is teach, you don’t need a highly prestigious university, just one which does a decent job. Since most people teach locally anyway, a huge national reputation is just not that important in that field. The major universities (University of Oregon and Oregon State) are very good; the quality goes down quite a bit after that.
Also, you are talking about minimal stress and prestigious universities in one posting. The fact is that for the most part, the more prestigious the university, the higher the stress levels.

Besides the state Universities you may want to look into a Private University that’s not so big. Portland University is a private 4 year University that has a School of Education. A number of around 3,200 students was given for the enrollment.
