on-campus or off-campus housing and how to get other support for college?

This year I decided to either live on-campus or off-campus. I will be sophmore. The advantages of living closer to campus will far outweight advantages of living with parents which are just savings (anyway living off-campus can be ever half of on-campus). I live near Chicago. I’ve applied for on-campus 5 weeks ago and I am still on waitlist. The school will start in sept 4th. I am not sure if I should look for off-campus housing now for sept 1st or wait 2 weeks after school starts and by this time try to find off-campus apartment by the end of september. Should it get myself studio or 2 bedroom and find a roomate or look for roomates who have available space. I really look forward to not only learn but also get socialized. I look forward to improve my fluency in English and have friends for fun and friends with whom I could study.

In addition, my family, especially my mother and my older sister don’t want me to get on-campus housing. But I am adult and I should be able to make

wow. what a question. from experience i know that living on-campus is much more convienent than living off. however, since you are still on the waiting list for on-campus housing and it is so close to sept. 4th, i would strongly suggest that you start looking for housing elsewhere why you wait.

an apartment shared with a roomate is usually less expensive than getting one youself but finding a suitable roomate is usually a whole different story. try looking in the paper for others who are searching for roomates instead.

Good luck, hope this helped!

Well, since you didn’t save for collage on your own, with all

them “jobs” you “had.” thinking you could sponge off your

relatives for your co-ed activities, drinking, sex, and party’s.

Maybe now “reality” will hit home.

Since you are an “adult.” It is time to make: “some adult

decisions.” <}:-})
