NYU dorms?

Which freshman hall do you think is the best? I am mostly interested in the hall with the best rooms; it doesn’t have to have its own dining hall and I don’t mind walking a ways to get to restaurants, but I’d like it to be walking distance to where my classes will be. Also, if you bring a fridge, a microwave, a TV, those kinds of things, is it REQUIRED that you share with your roommate (as long as you keep it on your side of the room)? And also do you have to clean your dorm yourself, or is there a cleaning service that does it for you on a regular basis? (I don’t mean to sound high-maintenance, I’m just wondering what to expect.)

No rude answers please!!!

For 33k a year in tuition you figure it would include a car, food, clothing, and housekeeping. Though, college dorms just don’t offer such services.

As for appliances, I never heard of it being required that the roommates have to share them. Though I would do so nontheless, if needed. You are going to be sharing a living space with this person. Getting on the right foot, and being in good gracious will make your life alot easier. Though it is probably something you won’t have to worry about. If the other person can afford to go to NYU, then buying cheap appliances shouldn’t be a problem.

Well my bf goes to a university in NY, and no, it’s not required to share with ur roomate, because you have ur own side to put ur stuff at. Yes, you have to clean ur own dorm room, it’s kind of living on ur own, but in a way it’s not. The thing that sucks about dorms, is the bathrooms, ewww, but they have ppl that clean the restrooms.
