If this is a once-a-week class, you’re in some trouble, and if it’s one of those six-week-wonder deals like they have at U Phoenix and them, then you’ve already been dropped from the class.

So write to the teacher. Apologize, and tell the teacher you’d like to continue with the class. Ask for advice. He may tell you to drop the class.

You could also try asking the instructor if he will give you the course as an independent study and you can arrange a separate time with him to get readings and assignments.

Otherwise you’d better find a more reliable way to get to class. Bus? Carpool with a fellow student? Get a place closer to campus? Etc.
