Medical school timeline. I don’t get it.?

I am trying to make sense of the medical school admissions process. Say I finish up my pre-reqs (except biochemistry that I will take in the fall) for med school by Spring 2010, and I apply to medical school Fall 2010. When would I actually attend if I was accepted? For example, if I apply by the Oct. 15th deadline for Stanford, when would I know my status and when would I begin?

you will begin the next year.

i’ll use your Stanford example.

If you apply October 15, you are/should be a senior in college at that time. you’ll know about your acceptance/rejection by March/April. That June should be your graduation. You start medical school that fall around August/September.

Good luck! And if you’re a senior, you better start on your apps right now.

Also, there should be a premedical committee in your college (or your advisor). Go make an appointment with them and they’ll help you a lot more than I did.

I trust the stuff the different scientific medical doctors here have written. you’re very carried out at this element…extra so than i became, and that i’ve got been given into a number of faculties. The interview is important besides…I blew my G’city interview and have been given denied, so shop your social skills good. it is extremely uncomplicated for us to tell you to loosen up, and so on. yet we’ve been all under pressure purely such as you at that element. the two way, purely learn how to take a deep breath and pass drink a lager with some acquaintances each so in lots of situations. you will get IN in case you extremely want IT! you will possibly no longer get in suitable out of undergrad (could could get a masters or study) yet once you coach dilligence (which you have) you will get in. getting into drugs is a marathon, no longer a sprint, so savor lifestyles as much as achieveable. you’re able to have assorted time as a med pupil, resident, and attending which you’re under pressure and depressing so savor what you have. college is great and you’re able to attempt to savor it. Perfection complexes are very uncomplicated in drugs and it seems such as you’re component of the group (no longer unavoidably a unfavorable trait)…do exactly no longer enable it harm your lifestyles.
