Basic courses you should take in college to be admitted to medical school (in addition, of course, to completing a degree) are General Biology, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, General Physics, mathematics through Calculus, and an English writing course.

They definitely will look at your community college and four-year college grades. Admission to medical school is very competitive and very high grades are required, especially in the courses they require in pre-med.

Regardless of where you study or obtain a MD, in order to practice in the US you must pass the US Medical Licensing Exam. All US medical students have to take these exams and all people educated and trained in other countries have to take the exam.
