First, what CC has a major in “pre-law”? They shouldn’t. I can’t think of a CA 4yr school with that major. It’d be absolutely useless to have such a major in the US b/c law schools don’t have any requirements. They’ll take any major.
Also, law school gives you a JD (doctorate) normally. That’s what lawyers have. You can get a LLM (masters) after you get your JD, but that’s not necessary.
Salary varies wildly.
Salary depends upon where you live, where you are employed, status in the firm (junior partner makes less than senior partners), your experience, etc. The sky is the limit for good attorneys; some are multi-millionaires.
Best wishes.
For example, if you got you a BS or MS in Accounting, then you could get an MS/MA in tax law. That would be a really useful combination for getting certification and could get a rewarding career in auditing and consulting.
The standard post graduate law degree required to be a lawyer is a Juris Doctorate or JD. You could get a PhD or Doctor of Juridical Science (JSD), but they require a dissereation and are rare.

Yea basically what the lady below me said. I’m hopeful to become a lawyer also. Going to take criminal justice in college with only touch a little bit on the law system. Most people take that a minor in political science.
