Looking for a University that will overlook a 2.0 GPA?

Cost and location arent a factor..

I Just finished my SAT prep course with my Tutor and Im confident Im going to to very well on the SAT…Ive been researching colleges and most colleges want GPA over SAT..

Are there any universities that you could just pay them to let you in?

I agree with Thomas. Go to a community college, and work very hard. Improve your GPA and show that you can do the work and are willing to put effort into it. Then you should be able to get into a better school.

Bowie State University. Their tuition is really cheap and even though the university isn’t that great, you’re really close to DC and Baltimore which have great culture and nightlife.

They’ll probably make you take an extra class during the summer before freshman year. That’s what some of the kids who went there did. It was kind of like a crash prep course so they wouldn’t be lost when school started.

Edit: My friend went there and her GPA was like less than a 1.5 for three semesters and they never kicked her out.

Community colleges all just let you in. There are some other schools that have lower admissions standards than others, too, but if you think that the main issue for you was poor motivation and effort in high school, and you really plan to buckle down in college, your best bet is to go to a community college, do well, and then transfer to a top four-year school for your bachelor’s degree.

If there’s a good reason for the poor grades, like a family member’s death or a major surgery, most colleges give you room for the explanation.
