I usually stick to about 4/5 hours of studying, reading, note taking a day in Uni library. Every 45 Min’s I have a few minutes break to stretch my legs. I print essential cases in full so can read them whenever I have a few minutes; ie waiting in the school yard etc.
I read in advance also so when the lecture on the topic is planned I know the basics and can listen to the lecture rather than writing every word down. I use Spider Charts for note taking. I keep a “notebook” for use during lectures, and I also have a “hard book” for expanding on a particular subject. (Two book per subject). I write in black pen but all case titles are written in red and facts are underlined in green.
I also try to have extra books as well as the recommended titles as a different writing style can sometimes make the difference, and a lot will have different cases that you may need to learn. I write case notes on all essential cases; ie put them into less than 200 words.
