Law school or Med school?
What do you think is better? I can’t decide whether I want to pursue law or med school I can’t decide I want law school but med school but if I did go to med school I would want to be an anesthesiologist or surgeon. I can’t decide what college I should go to my top 3 are NYU, Harvard, or Yale. And also I have to start thinking about high schools to prepare me for the job I want in the future (I’m in 8th grade) so do you no of any good high schools in NYC? but I really want to go to Stuyvesant.

Wow you are really young. As I was reading I thought you were going to college. And since your still young you might change your mind on both your choices wants you hit high school. NYU is a pretty good school. And Harvard and Yale are too. There actually not the top anymore but there still on that top list. But anyway. If you like law. Go with a career in law. If you like blood and stuff go with a career in Medical. You still have a ways to go.

In general, med school is definitely harder to get in to. There are too many law schools. Even the ABA approved ones (the bottom ranked ones) will take nearly anyone. Law school and med school aren’t easy. Yes, there comes a point where even a ABA law school will stop accepting people, but at that point, the student is so bad that maybe grad school really shouldn’t be in their plans.

If you want to be a doctor you have the drive to be one. You can’t be not sure you want to be a doctor and go to medical school, you wont have the motivation to do it. If you want to go to an ivy league school start saving and studying hard now. I hope you know that being an anesthesiologist or a surgeon that the residency training can be over 5 years. residency is working 60-80 hours a week and getting paid and $40,000 a year. you should probably do some research. It also depends what you are more interested in.
Good luck!

You do not make this decision now… you have a long time to think about. You can interview a med professional, a law professional, and others that you have interest… to know how is his work lives, an than you choose what is better to you.

Don’t stress about it too much right now! You’re young, and you’ll probably actually change your mind a few times before you get to college. Just get good grades so that you can get into those colleges that you want.

It’s a little early to start thinking about that. Just do your best and get into the best school you can. Remember to enjoy life though.

just concentrate now on getting in, you dont make that decision until you get the acceptance letters from both schools AFTER youve done some undergrad work
you still have high school to get through…i mean who knows you could be an idiot and fail out of high school, get impregnated by some nazi skinhead and get sacrificed to the marijuana gods by your BF trying to grow killer bud…
just work on high school for now
