Is this school different from others?

I’m not familiar with USA education system, so I want to know that is School of Continuing and Professional Studies, in New York U the same kind of a business school in a university or a fine art school in a university?

But regarding to it’s name, School of Continuing and Professional Studies seems target people who have already had their careers. And as long as you wish, you can go there to take a course, which is different from applying graduate programs, say literature program in a university.

You are right, in that the NYU School of Continuing and Professional Studies is targeted toward adult learners who hope to either take a few classes or get a degree. It is different and separate from the main NYU schools, and isn’t nearly as prestigious.

It’s neither a business nor a fine art school. It has elements of both, and more. It’s general education. You can major in several different things, all of which they list on their website.

Most major universities in the US have schools like this, which focus on adult learners. They often call them “continuing education” or something like that.
