In most cases no. Most all lower level (100 & 200 level) biology classes have certain pre-requisites and are taken in pre-determined sequences.

Although I would guess if you are majoring in Biology, then some of your upper level classes (300 & 400 level) can probably be taken during the same semester since you would have already had the foundation courses.

Sure it is!

I’m a bio major myself in my junior year and since I just declared my major last year I had to take 3 bio courses each semester last year and am taking 3 again each semester this year. It may sound daunting, but it’s really not that bad. I’m guessing that if you’re a bio major, it’s probably your favorite subject and what you’re best at. The tricky part, for me at least, came with the labs. It does get kind of hard to juggle 3 labs in your schedule, especially if you’re trying to take other classes along with your biology courses. But if your bio classes are going to be your only classes or if they don’t have labs, you should be fine. My schools is just kind of small, and I’m trying to take 18 credits a semester, so it’s hard to find classes that don’t conflict with one of my labs. Very frustrating.

But, yes, 3 bio courses is definitely do-able!

Good luck!
