Is it harder to transfer from a University to another university, or from a college to a university?

I am a seniour in highschool my gpa is 2.5 and I want to transfer to csun after highschool and after highschool transfer to ucla, but I heard its harder to transfer from a university to another university than from a community college to a university.

That’s a hard question to answer because each school has it’s own entrance requirements. But in general, the answer would be NO, there’s not much of a difference.

However, if I went to say NYU and wanted to transfer to Harvard, it might be easier for me than if I had gone to Mitra Community College. Why? Because NYU is a more high-powered school and closer in caliber to a Harvard than Mitra Community College.

But this doesn’t necessarily mean that Harvard won’t take me if I did go to Mitra. But the quality of your prior education is a factor when it comes to admissions.

Not in most cases. If the school is accredited and your grades are good you should have no trouble. Many school have recently changed to Universities, they really did not change much except offer more fields of study and maby a graduate program. Ivan
