Well, first don’t stress out about college already. College is a totally different experience from high school. There is not really much to do before your senior year. I would start visiting some college websites that interest you and contact some advisors. Don’t slack off in your classes. Your Junior year grades are pretty important. At my university, there are several classes that you can place out of. Make sure you look into that. Many times you can test out of math, english, and computer courses. If I were you, I would try some college prep classes at your high school if they have them. Any time you can get college credit without paying is good.

Start looking at and visiting colleges and find out their application process (as in deadllines).

Keep your grades up, even through the end of Senior year! Develpo good study habits cause even if high school is easy for you, college will be harder.

Do well on your PSAT/SAT tests.

Be active in after schools sports or clubs. Maybe volunteer somewhere that has something to do with a degree you’d like to pursue (at an animal shelter for vets, womens’ shelter for social work, etc.)

since your going to your 11th grade year, remember to have a fantastic GPA. colleges mostly look at your 10th and 11th grade GPA, so you really need to make those two your best years. you can also start looking at schools that interest you. try searching for their requirements so you can work on them. if you need to take the SAT, then you can start studying for it if you have not done so already. I think the last time you can take it is in December of your 12th grade year, but talk to your counselor about it. you can also start volunteering, and getting involved in school activities or other things around your community.

i hope that helped. good luck =)

Get good grades (to get into a good college), develop good study habits (they’ll be helpful when you get there), and make sure you’re able to write in an organized and logical manner.

Communication skills, both written and oral, are going to be your most useful skills in college, regardless of what courses you take.

Have a strong math background will help you if you have a technical major (like engineering).

If you’re going to college to help you get a good job, then make sure you pick a field of study that’s in demand in the working world (e.g. nursing, engineering, accounting, computers, etc.), and not something that was out of date a hundred years ago.
