I want to know about credible online bartending schools (!?)?
I live in Ohio, and I’m looking into bartending as a career. What’s the average going rate on online bartending schools? Who is the most credible? Is it worth the time & money for the certification? My logic: I’ve never been employed in any food/hospitality field, so I’ve got no experience to urge an employer to hire me without a certification.

I’m still trying to figure out how you would take an online course to learn bartending! Go to your local watering spot, and talk to a bartender about letting you “apprentice” for him or her. You will gain experience, and the owner gets a “free” employee. Don’t worry about certification–in hospitality, most front line employees learn on the job.

Start out as a cocktal waitress- and learn on the job. You can’t learn to mix drinks without the learn by example and doing it.
