I want to get into NYU, am I on the right track?

I know it’s insanely difficult to get into, but I want to know what I should do to be accepted. I’m a freshman in high school right now, I take Pre-AP Biology, Pre-AP LEAP English, Pre-AP LEAP Geography, normal Algebra I, and Pre-AP French and Theatre classes. Next year I plan on being in all AP courses.

I’d like to major in either business, law, or medicine.

I’m a senior in hs and applying to NYU. Yeah it’s pretty hard to get it in, I believe they accept about 30% of applicants. Make sure your GPA is high, along with your class rank.

Get an ACT score above 30.

Take the hardest classes your school has to offer, even if you think you will get a B in the class, because colleges want to see that you have challenged yourself.

Be leader/president of at least one club in your HS.

Get involved in as many EC’s that you are interested in as you can.

Score 5’s on the AP tests you take…..

Yeah that’s pretty much it.

I think your defiantly on the right track. I’m currently a senior in high school and I have begun my college applications. Though your academic courses are very rigorous, colleges also want to know that you are a well rounded student . Try to join in clubs at your school or participate in community service. Good Luck!! Also, Its never to early to start preparing for SATs (or ACT).
