Think about what you want to do so that you can tailor your degree so that it works for you. You can work your resume and cover letter to look their best based on the position you’re applying for. If it’s in communications, are you interested in public relations, journalism, advertising, music, etc.? How about looking at non-profit organizations, hotels or the travel industry? Do you have any internship exprience? Even if you didn’t intern in college, it’s still a good time to do so and plenty of people take that route. It’ll be a great way to get started, and perhaps easier than finding a job.

Make sure your resume is on point and you have a good idea of what a great cover letter looks like. There is a lot of info online and in bookstores for that. Also, research good interview tips and make sure to send a thank you note after every interview. The job hunting process after college can be daunting, but stay focused and be patient and I’m sure that eventually you’ll find something that suits you.

Deedee, it incredibly isn’t any longer a decision which you will desire to make. you could have the two. maximum community colleges have a circulate compact with the state affiliated 4-365 days college. It demands which you do particular classes and obtain a minimum of a 2.5 GPA. it incredibly is incredibly helpful to ask you counselor approximately that the following day. If no longer bypass to the source, call the academic advert visor on the college which you desire to attend and discover out what curriculum has been used interior the previous for pupils who elect to circulate devoid of dropping their credit. the different selection which would be a smart one, is to forgo the achievable loss of a few of your credit and pursue a occupation orientated pals degree inclusive of: allied wellness occupation i.e resp tech, lab tech, Coding-HIT; RN. you will discover that maximum of those tiers command a extra physically powerful profits that 4 years tiers. Liberal arts graduates in many circumstances earn $35,000+ after commencement; Allied wellness occupation in many circumstances earn 36,000-fifty two,000 with an AAS. in case you elect this option you could earn respectable funds collectively as you artwork your way for the duration of the the remainder of your degree. stable success in all you do the international is you oyster!! bypass get em, i’m rooting for you!

You should post your CV on Monster or one of the other career building websites. Also, depending on the college you went to, they may have a Career Services dept (I went to a small liberal arts college and they had one) that will help you prep your CV and provide suggestions as to where to look for jobs. They also may be able to send you to a company that fills temp-to-hire positions for other major companies. Right now it may be difficult to find a job since most companies will have hired the recent graduates (ie your classmates). It may take a few months before you find the position that you are happy with but keep at it.

You really should have been starting to ask job questions sometime around junior year. And your advisors and faculty should have done a better job stressing the importance of career preparation.

But since you’re now past that point, see if you can find a nonprofit career counseling agency. If there’s a job to be found in your area, they’ll help you find it. Be patient, though, because getting a job with a four-year degree isn’t as easy as it used to be.

Learning how to spell ‘with’ may be a good start.

Then, why not send a flyer by way of your CV to all the major companies in your field. Phone to get a contact name first though, and be sure to address your letter to that person.

Good Luck!
