I had a bad first year teaching experience in NC. How can I keep the principal from ruining my life?

I graduated from a college in NC. I majored in Education and finally got my first job at a high school near Charlotte. The principal told me it was an interim and that at the end of the year if I did a good job, she would bring me back to a permanent contract. Well, things went sour towards the end. My department chair hated me for no reason. She was nice at the interview but when I went to work in October, she was very hateful, even on my first day. Never a kind word to say. The faculty acted like they were on melrose place. I had good observation and had one not so good. Then on the last week, the principal said she was not going to renew my contract. Well, I applied to other schools in the system and she blacklisted me. I think she may have given other school districts negative references. I finally emigrated to the UK but I am still frightened that this woman will pop up and ruin my life some more. This is a small world. How can I make sure this never happens? Ideas?

This is the type of situation where belonging to a teachers’ association can be of help. I am not sure about NC, but some associations provide legal support for unjust allegations against a teacher both with administration as well as parents. Belonging to the National Education Association also provides this benefit. Being hired as an interim teacher rather than a probationary one, does limit you. If you were to return to the US, be sure you join an organized teachers’ association or union for this reason. You may find that some districts become so desperate to hire a teacher that they will overlook questionable references when it was only your first year of teaching. Many districts hire teachers with less experience because they don’t have to pay them as much. You should still have a good chance of a job outside the area in which you first taught. You might also inquire about this with the college placement department of your alma mater. If they were involved in your placement , they would want to know about this and perhaps could shed some light on the situation.

heavily? i don’t know why human beings are so passionate approximately somebody flopping their penis around. next time one comes as much as you, purely say “yeah I did, why you wanna suck it?” and wala, lol No no you’re youthful and dumb. every person makes blunders. purely save denying and tell every person that that is in uncomplicated terms a rumor that became gossiped out of proportion. in actuality, strengthen your denying via telling them which you probably did no longer even walk that day from college. tell them that your father and mom picked you up or you took the bus residing house.
