Don’t get in a hurry. You have four years of college, and you need the courses to get you into medical school, but nothing specifically pointed at a future specialty. Then you have four years of medical school, and it’s almost all the same for everybody, with the exception of some electives at the end. Then there’s a three-year residency in internal medicine. Only when you actually start your cardiology fellowship will you specifically work on cardiology. There’s no way to, and no sense in, fast-tracking in anticipation of the specialty. You should work on general education. You should also get in the habit of precision, and get rid of the garbage like “iz dere” when you aren’t on your cell phone.
