How do I make my med school application more interesting to top tier medical schools?

Fr in college at Berkeley.

Interested in UCSF, Johns Hopkins, UCLA, Stanford, etc.

Any advice for getting into med school/ surviving college would be helpful too =)

Join the Peace Corps for a year. Since you’re a freshman you have plenty of chances to pad your stats. Not only is a good GPA and MCAT score necessary, you must balance yourself out. Join some clubs and become an officer, join a school sports team(this may be hard since it’s CAL & D1), volunteer at hospitals or health clinics, or do some lab research and publish a paper.

+3.7 GPA, +36 MCAT score, At least 3 medical related volunteering or working experience, at least 1 leadership position, 1 published paper and that is all.
