You take te general requieremnts for the university, and then also take the specific requierments for both degrees. Often, it can take five years to graduate with a double major, unless you are entering with credits. Also, some majors work bettwer together then other ones. If both of them are a BA, or both are a BS, you will have less extra credits to take then if they are different. You graduate with two majors, on one diploma, one being your ‘first’ major, and the other your secondary major.

You study two degrees simultaneously – eg. Law + Arts (In Australia, full-time, its equivalent to 18 units; four subjects– usually 13.5 Law units – or 3 subjects – and 4.5 units of Arts – or 1 subject). Although, the combined degree (in this case, Arts) entails lesser units as it would when studied seperately so it takes a shorter time to complete that degree.
