You need to go to a community college for a year or two and prove you can handle college level work.

Well obviously you are in grade 12 if you are planning to go into a university with a D average. I have a few suggestions for you.

1) Redo your worst grade 12 courses. I am sure you have no rush in getting into university, so instead of applying, redo some courses and put effort into them. Give it your best and when you feel like slacking off or going out with friends, remember that your future is at stake. However, before doing this, check to make sure the university’s you want to go to accept the highest mark of courses that you redo. If they don’t then there’s no point in doing what I have suggested.

2) Extracurriculars and SAT’s! Those are two other major components that unviersities look at. If you have an excellent SAT score (over 2000) then you have a chance getting into university, even though your average is a D. Also if you are an active member of your community and volunteer, etc. then you also have a better chance of making it in.

3) Consider going into a skilled trade or a field that doesn;t require higher education. If my frist two suggestions don’t work then you can always do this and live your life without education. Remember that not all of the world’s millionaires have an education!

Best of luck and I hope I helped!

The most realistic way to overcome the poor history is to put in some work to build a better history.

The best way to do this is to go to a junior/community college for your first two years, earn good grades, then make the jump to the college you want.

One hint: lots of people put in a lot of work in a junior college to earn credits they later learn will not transfer or will only transfer as elective credit. To prevent such a loss, go to the registrar’s office of the university you are targeting and request a list of courses they will accept for full credit from the community college you will attend. Then simply take nothing but those courses.

If you really had to struggle for the poor grades, you might want to take a light load while starting out. A 12 semester hour load is light enough to give you lots of time to work on each subject, but it still qualifies you as a full-time student for financial aid.

Good luck.

Go to a junior collage for two years get your core classes over with and do good in the your average will rise that is the only way you will be able to get into any university. Trust me it will help you and give you a chance to think about you major.

I would recommend being wealthy and/or from a powerful family. It does wonders for the admissions process.

Aside from this, go to community college, get straight A’s, finish your bachelor’s at any university while doing lots of volunteering and internships, then try for grad school at one of the top universities.

One question that would come up: can you do college-level work? It would be a waste to be accepted, and then to flunk out. Why don’t you go to a communittee college, prove that you can get good grades at college level for a year or two–and then apply to your “really good college”?

you need to go to community college for 2 years. get a major in something rediculous like basket weaving, get an “A” and transfer into a university that way….
