Not usually. Generally 15 months is about the shortest you can get by with, and that assumes that you were a business undergrad and waive many of the basic classes because you took undergrad versions of them.

30 credit hours is sometimes the standard for a specialized masters (i.e. not an MBA), and that’s not including any deficiency prereqs (such as if you never took a basic accounting course, you’ll need to do that first). These are usually Masters in finance, accounting, HR, or marketing.

9 months would be 2 regular semesters. Theoretically, you could probably do 15 hours if the program allowed you to. Usually this amount of credit hours for a grad student is considered overload so some colleges will frown or not allow it. You need to make sure the college offers enough classes each semester to achieve this feat, however, as grad school programs tend to be small. If you could fit a summer session in there then it’s definitely do-able and I know of many who do such a thing since they need to get themselves back into the workforce.

It would be helpful to know what university you are talking about, as this varies from school to school. Some universities offer Executive MBAs that might only take 9 months, but they are terribly expensive and normally you can only attend if your employer sponsors you. It sounds like you need to get off the internet and call the business school and ask a few questions.
