You will have more options I believe with the child care/development. 20 years ago I went the route of beauty therapy (cosmetology) and found that there is only a 10%chance for success if you are highly skilled at it (slightly better than minimum wage) and a 95% success rate if you are a convincing fibber and have enough of an over-inflated ego to make a go in any field of the beaty profession (you set your own wage). To make the big bucks in this field you cannot be timid and under no circumstances doubt your ability to turn an ugly duck into a beautiful swan. It’s never too late. I am 40 years old and will be doing a midlife career change AGAIN! (for the fourth time) However, a friend in the field turned to sales and now travels the country to different salons and spas selling products and she is quite successful and absolutely loves it!
