I could speak about how they were consistent in attending, worked well in small groups, read the materials, and came to class prepared. Always ask that the teacher/professor send you a copy of the recommendation. You would not want someone to send a less than stellar recommendation.

I might also recommend that you write up a paragraph of what you did in that class….such as in English: I used my writing skills to assist residents of a retirement home compose letters. [Tie in your skills with your volunteer work or your job outside of school]. In this way, the teacher will know how to highlight your talents.
