Help me choose a major?
I am currently a graphic design major and although I love it, I have heard they are not paid well and the jobs are sometimes few and far between. I’m not really the type to care only about the salary of a job but I am taking out a lot of student loans to go to school. (I have no help from my parents)
I am worried about choosing a career path that will not allow me to be able to pay off my student loans.
Please help me think of some majors that involve creativity and at least a bit of fun.

Have you ever looked into the counseling professions? You could still finish a degree in graphic design and double major in human services or community psychology/community counseling, then get a masters in this field and do art therapy. You could also look at becoming an art teacher. There is marketing and advertising, which need people who can do the neat graphic designs for commercials and stuff. Honestly, you should discuss all these ideas and all of your concerns with a career counselor.

Marketing and Advertising is a good major. It’s all about how the public sees a product, so a good creative touch is needed to really sell it.
