Most Universities require students to take to GRE to be admitted into a graduate program. There are schools that do not requre this testing. Check around with your local Universities, I do know that the University of Phoenix does not require GRE testing.

The GRE will almost certainly be required for admission to a masters or PhD program. But certain degree programs may require a subject GRE test as well. You asked about physics earlier – most graduate programs in physics require that you take the physics GRE as well as the general GRE, and that you have an undergraduate degree in physics or a closely-related field (like astrophysics or engineering).

Also, if English is not the main language of your home country (if you don’t come from America, Canada, the UK, or Australia), you’ll also need to pass the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) to apply to grad school.

Well u can only apply to your respected filed i.e literature or similar type. GRE does not entitle you to select any other field. University policies also matter for the admission.

anyways u can get a lot of help and helping material from

It’s for anyone wishing to apply to graduate school. It’s like the SAT for graduate school. You can also take the MAT (Miller Analogy Test) to get accepted in some schools. Just go online and see when the next test is coming up. Register and take the test. Good luck.
