Grades to get into college?

Ok…I’m planning on going to a Cal State college after I graduate, and at school they say that you need a C or better in all of the classes you take. I Had a few D’s in my freshman and sophomore year, but I have (so far) improved this year, as my GPA after the first six weeks is a 4.33 and I plan on keeping it that way (if not getting it higher). So would I have to make up the classes that I got D’s in before applying?

Some colleges look at grades, others look at SAT/ACT scores, and some look at both. At the college that I chose, they said the same thing. C or better in all classes. Some of the classes that I took I recieved D’s, however when I took the ACT, I made a 22, which was a good score. My school accepted me not only with my D’s, but with my rank as number 86 in my class!(out of 172) That means I was 86 dumbest and 86 smartest kid at my school! There is hope! If I were you, I would call the admissions office at Cal State to see if they are lenient with their standards for admission. Keep hope alive! You will make a difference in the world just for wanting to go to school! That means you have POTENTIAL! God Bless you and Good luck!

Your grades earned in your Jr and Sr years will weigh more than your Fr or So years. If they see a vast improvement year over year, they will consider that.
