Grad school or learn another language or two?

I have a Bachelors degree in Social Sciences and just started my masters in Interational Relations. I like it, but it is hard to juggle grad school, family and work when I would much rather be focusing on learning Turkish and Russian. My ideal career goal is to work in federal law enforcement. Do you think I should finish this semester and put grad school on hold to get the language skills, or just wait 2 more years and get the masters first? I’m not getting any younger, so I need to choose pretty soon. Thanks.

If grad school is hard to juggle now, what will change in 2 years to make it easier? If your current situation will be the same in 2 years, you might as well finish your masters now since you’re already in it.

you will would desire to learn a language you prefer to entice close. in case you prefer to have spanish then there is not any project, for the reason that actual those 2 languages are alike. you have got many words that would properly be an same so looking out words and increasing vocabulary would properly be much less complicated. Its for specific. Dont be afraid to ascertain out it. in case you fail its for the reason which you purely cant handle 2 languages right now, despite the fact that thats no gigantic deal. i’d desire to look into it. Its in many circumstances occurring that persons have subjects with remembering 2 languages right now. while i used to be studing german and french I had a comon project with exams, for the reason that at the same time as I had a german test all i could think of was french vocabulary, despite the fact that as quickly because of the fact the words sink in the recommendations the confusion is long previous for ever. It takes approximately 2 years previously than the entire straight forward grammar and straight forward vocabulary is totaly 2d nature. 2 years of actually learn.

Maybe try both. Enroll in one language course and one grad course. You don’t have to take a full load of either to continue your education. Other languages are very important to your career goal and so is the degree. I would say, finish up this semester and then try to split your time between both but not adding to your load. I bet you will fee challenged and not overwhelmed. And it’s always helpful to not be behind in either in case a dream opportunity arose.

Finish your Masters and then pick up a language later. Dont overload yourself because getting your Masters is way more important at this time. I want to get a language degree but I need to finish MA first.
