Everything about a university!?

Hey, I am a grade 10 student hoping to get into an university. I know I have 3 more years, including this one, to graduate. But, I have a course, Careers, in which I have to choose an univeristy/college program and write about that. In the class, there were a lot of college books but I couldn’t find one good university catalogue.

So I came home and staretd researching on the university websites. I couldn’t achieve anything, I don’t many of the things such as ‘graduate studies’ and undergraduate studies.’ So do you guys know what those things are and can you help me find a good university website with thorough information on the high school courses I should take, fees, admission and the courses of the program.

Thanks

You need to be looking at Undergraduate programs. Those are the entry level studies for first-year university students. Graduate studies require you to already have a university degree for acceptance.

Universities all have their own websites with much of that information. If you’re in Ontario, www.electronicinfo.ca will have everything you need (but this is ONLY for Ontario universities)

First you must apply to an undergraduate major. Everyone has to do this if you want to go to college. Basically its you first four years of college, in which you receive your bachelor. Then if you want to continue on with your education then you need to apply to graduate majors. Also, make sure to do well in the beginning of highschool trust me from personal experience. I slacked off 9th and 10th and now i have a 2.7. You need about a 3.5 weighted to get into a good university. Make sure to take all honor classes. They are not difficult. You dont have to take AP. Honors are much easier and you still receive points. also ont get any Cs… I got straights Cs before that really killed my gpa. Make sure not to get Cs they really kill your gpa. and if youve failed any classes retake them ASAP. bcuz u will be busy your senior year. Also make sure to retake yours sat or act as many times. until you get a descent or outstading score. Make an appoitment with your College Advisor or counslor for more info.. GOOD LUCK!

As for as I know, they are the best sites for college info.

By the way, usually the first four years of college, no matter which one you go to, you are considered an “undergraduate”

When you graduate after those four years and continue college, it’s called graduate school, typically two years.

Undergraduate studies: studying in first four years of college

Graduate studies: studying in two years of college after undergraduate studies.
