you need your AA in medicine…not liberal arts.

you don’t need sat scores to transfer from a CC to a major university.

i would call up someone at NEU who deals with transfer students and ask them directly and tell them you are working on you AA.med and what classes you should take and which credits they will accept…[it would ease your nerves a bit if you did this]

u don’t need to take SAT as you are a transfer student…only poeple from HS straight to a 4 year university need to take the SAT..

your liberal of arts AA degree is fine as long as you have all the core courses (such as math, english, humanities, social sciences) completed. just look at the prerequisites in the university’s catalogue for transferring students and make sure you have all core courses fulfilled. when you apply to the University, you can put pre-med as your major. they may or may not accept you..so apply several Universities around your area…

pre med study, in my opinion, can be hard due to competition with other students, but is duable. you will be taking courses such as chem, physics, bio, anatomy, physiology etc. one advice that i am going to give you is to try to take some courses at the CC that are transferable to med school and compatable with ur “pre-med” major at the university…i am tell you this, because it will be easier than taking them at the University…courses that you should probably take at the CC would be like General Chemistry, Anatomy, Physiology and Microbiology). make sure you look at any med school entrance prerequisites and talk to your university counselor to give you an idea if they are compatable..

then before you graduate from the university, take the MCATs (like an SAT for med school) and try to get high scores… med school acceptance is extremely competitive since there are a lot of people who also want to become doctors..i like the fact that you do volunteer work, so that should do well with your med school experience requirements…also, make sure you apply to a lot of med schools around the country…and once you’re in med school, study hard, make sure you pass your board exams (there are three) and the rest you will find out as you go along…right now concentrate on one thing at a time as to applying to Universities…good luck!
